Devarim 7.24:

When the Lord your God shall bring you into the land which you are entering to possess, and has cast out many nations before you, the Hittites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, and the Chittites, and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than you; Devarim 7.1.

The Lord did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because you were more in number than any people; for you were the fewest of all peoples;  Devarim 7.7

But the Lord your God shall deliver them to you, and shall destroy them with a mighty destruction, until they are destroyed. And he shall deliver their kings into your hand, and you shall destroy their name from under heaven; there shall no man be able to stand before you, until you have destroyed them, Devarim 7.23,24.

On that day in 2018 FC when Avram was 70 years old... We note the first occurrence of Chittites

2 Chronicles 8.7

In 2948 FC - 930 years later we note the last reference to the Chittites.

Here is how we calculate this time:

2448 FC B'nei Yisroel Came out of Mitzrim

480 years later in  2928 FC The construction of the Holy Temple began

20 years later - At the end of 20 years...

2948 FC

And it came to pass in the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon's reign over Israel, in the month Zif, which is the second month, that he began to build the house of the Lord, 1 Kings 6.1.

In the fourth year was the foundation of the house of the Lord laid, in the month Zif: And in the eleventh year, in the month Bul, which is the eighth month, was the house finished throughout all the parts thereof, and according to all the fashion of it. So was he seven years in building it, Kings 6.37-38.

And the time that Solomon reigned in Jerusalem over all Israel was forty years. And Solomon slept with his fathers, and was buried in the city of David his father: and Rehoboam his son reigned in his stead, 1 Kings 11.42-43.

Thus David the son of Jesse reigned over all Israel. 27 And the time that he reigned over Israel was forty years; seven years reigned he in Hebron, and thirty and three years reigned he in Jerusalem. 28 And he died in a good old age, full of days, riches, and honor: and Solomon his son reigned in his stead,1 Chronicles 29.26-28.

Wherefore all the men of Israel assembled themselves unto the king in the feast which was in the seventh month. 4 And all the elders of Israel came; and the Levites took up the ark. 5 And they brought up the ark, and the tabernacle of the congregation, and all the holy vessels that were in the tabernacle, these did the priests and the Levites bring up.2 Chronicles 5.3-5

And it came to pass at the end of twenty years, during which Solomon had built the house of the Lord, and his own house, That the cities which Huram had restored to Solomon, Solomon built them, and made the people of Israel live there. And Solomon went to Hamathzobah, and prevailed against it. And he built Tadmor in the wilderness, and all the storage cities, which he built in Hamath. Also he built upper Beth-Horon, and lower Beth-Horon, fortified cities, with walls, gates, and bars; And Baalath, and all the storage cities that Solomon had, and all the chariot cities, and the cities of the horsemen, and all that Solomon desired to build in Jerusalem, and in Lebanon, and throughout all the land of his dominion. As for all the people who were left of the Chittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, which were not of Israel, And of their children, who were left after them in the land, whom the people of Israel did not wipe out, Solomon raised a levy of them until this day. But Solomon did not make slaves of the people of Israel for his work; but they were men of war, and chiefs of his captains, and captains of his chariots and horsemen...2 Chronicles 8.1-9

Dear classmates our goal is to provide information about the Chittities.

And Ephron lived among the Hittites; and Ephron the Chittite answered Abraham in the hearing of the Hittites, of all who went in at the gate of his city, saying... Bereisheit 23.10

And Esau was forty years old when he married Judith the daughter of Beeri the Chittite, and Bashemath the daughter of Elon the Chittite; And they made life bitter for Isaac and for Rebekah.
