Last Discussion we made a comparison between God the Creator of All and Avimelech King of Gerar. The Christian Writing proudly proclaim:
God took another man's wife...
God impregnated another man's wife...
The wife had NO PRIOR knowledge of her impregnation. Behold she was pregnant.
Mary's life was placed in danger.
Is it possible Mary may have thought sinful thoughts?
Where is the honesty in this action?
Does impregnating another man's wife have improbities?
What about free will? Matthew Writings imposes pregnancy on a twelve year girl. Is this free will?
Joseph's first awareness of Mary being pregnant was when he saw the undeniable.
How do you think Joseph felt?
What do you think Joseph thought?
Is it possible Joseph may have thought sinful thoughts?
What about Joseph's freewill? Was he given a choice about what happened to Mary? Was it imposed upon him?
In reading the Writer Luke's commentary, (Luke 3:23) Jesus was supposed to be the son of Joseph..., Jesus was thought to be the son of Joseph... We see this continued intentional deception...
This story is so far out in very weird land... Anyone who studies about God knows, God is a God of order, righteousness, honesty and integrity.
So we come to this week's discussion. For many the birth of Isaac is the most important birth in the Bible. The birth was planned. The promise was announced in advance. Nothing was hidden.
The Lord remembered everything from Aleph to Tav of Sarah.
What does this tell us? What does this Verse say?
The Lord God is NOT happenstance. Everything about our Creator is well defined and thought out. Nothing is a surprise! Yet the Christian Writing say, Mary was surprised... shocked to learn she was pregnant... Joseph was surprised to see Mary, his wife pregnant, Joseph was shocked... IT IS NECESSARY TO STOP LIVING IN WIERD LAND!
For years God promised Abraham and Sarah a son. It was to happen at the designated time. Our Sages Teach Sarah became pregnant on the Day of Remembrance. This was the birthday of the world. This was Rosh Hashanah, this was the Day of Judgment.
וַיהוָֹה פָּקַד אֶת־שָׂרָה כַּאֲשֶׁר אָמָר
וַיַּעַשׂ יְהוָֹה לְשָׂרָה כַּאֲשֶׁר דִּבֵּר:
The Lord counted, enumerated, ordered, arranged everything from Aleph to Tav of Sarah as He had said... For Sarah conceived, and bore Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.
The Word פָּקַד Paw Kahd means to count, to enumerate, to order, to arrange... What needed arranging?
And He [the Lord God] Said to Abram, Know for a certainty that your seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years;
At the time the Creator spoke these Words to Abraham he was seventy years old. Our Creator was on the clock so to speak. This means for the prophecy to happen Avraham and Sarah would have to get together very late in life. Sarah was 89 and Abraham was 99. They had to be attracted to each other. Their sexual organs had to function. Sarah returned to having her monthly menstruation. Sarah had to have eggs to be impregnated. Abraham had to have firmness without virago. Abraham had to have quality seed to impregnate Sarah. His sperm count had to be good. So dear Ones there was a lot of counting going on.
May we be blessed to study each Word in The Torah Portion of the Bible for meaning.
Blessings, Love and peace,
