Exodus 6.2,3

And He, God Spoke to Moshe, and Said to him, I am the LORD;  And I appeared to Avraham, to Yitzchok, and to  Yaakov as El Shaddai / The Almighty and [by] My Name LORD I  was not known to them.

Noh Dah eih Tee

I  was not known to them.

נ50 ו6 ד4 ע70 ת400 י10 = 540

Shaw Mayr

To Guard - To Keep

ש300 מ40 ר200 = 540

This is how we are to teach...

Deuteronomy 6.7

And you shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up.

Parents are reminded to nag their children. I say nag because if we spoke to are children as instructed to in Ha Torah some may consider us to be nagging them....

Think about it... I used the word nag to remind us we must be careful in our presentation.  Yet, three times everyday we are reminded to 'Diligently' speak to our children. Think about this dear ones... Even when we are diligent some of our children will not obey...

Our Sages Teach that only 1 / 4 of B'nai Yisroel came out of Mitzriam... They saw the miracles... They saw the Mighty hand of God... yet only 20 percent came out of Egypt...

We stood on har Sinai.  We saw the fire and the thunder.  We felt the ground shake.  We heard the Voice of God yet look at us...

Dear ones we are the kingdom of Priests. We are the chosen nation. We have the REVELATION.

Dear Ones, How does our Creator appear to us?  Do we know if our Creator appears to all humankind exactly the same? I think NOT!!

We each have a different revelation of the Creator. What are we doing with our revelation.

In the blink of an eye lash that can change!   It will change.

That day is not distant!!  Moshiach will usher in that day! The Creator will remove the confusion between the languages. We will see and be seen as we are.

Blessings, love and peace,

This Zerah Torah Parshat is in the Loving Memory of Carrie bat Brachah Rivkah, may she rest in peace, may her memory be for good and may her soul be elevated in the Heavens.

There are two different Words Translators use for hardened

Vih Hah Chih Bayd - ChihBayd

meaning - hard, burdensome, difficult, weighty

ChihBayd is singular but used as plural at times. This is to =Teach us the unity of Pharaoh and his advisors his servants. Their hardness was unified.

Vah Yaw Chaw Zahk - Chazak

meaning - to be strong, robust, hard

Pharaoh would not listen, i.e. hear - Exodus 7.16, 7.22, 8.11, 8.15

Exodus 10.1 - 2

  ג

For I hardened

And He, the Lord Said to Moses, Go to Pharaoh; for I have hardened everything from the Letter Aleph to the Letter Tav of his heart, and  everything from the Letter Aleph to the Letter Tav of the heart of his servants, that I might show these my signs before him; 2  And that you may tell in the ears of your son, and of your grandson, what things I have done in Egypt, and my signs which I have done among them; that you may know that I am the Lord.

Everything from the Letter Aleph to the Letter Tav of My Signs to Pharaoh

Exodus 7.2; 9.12, 10.20, 11.10, 14.4, 14.8

And Everything from the Letter Aleph to the Letter Tav of the hear if his servants

Exodus 9.12, 9.21, 10.1

Sign of the serpent - Exodus 7.10-14

Each plague was a month apart. Each plague was for seven days or less.

Stone p328

Each plague was equal to more than fifty miracles. For example it was a miracle one frog came out of the river and when struck became two frogs, i.e. duplicated. This duplication happened thousands of times. Each was a miracle. When the frogs returned to the river all at once it was a miracle. Returning to the river was a miracle. Dying in the river was a miracle.  There were many additional miracles associated with each plague. How do we know this? In Exodus 8.15 the Torah says this is the finger of God. In Exodus 9.3 The Torah Says, Behold, The hand of the Lord is upon the cattle... A hand has five fingers. The interpretation is each plague represents five miracles...

Firstborn, Exodus 12.1 -

Pharaoh had at least six opportunities to change.  He did not repent.  Pharaoh crossed the line.   He could not repent from that point on.  Why? His opportunity for repentance had passed. Now, God hardened his heart.  One may thing they can repent at any point in life and they may.  However that was not possible for Pharaoh and some of his advisors. They crossed the line. They toyed with God. they went beyond what was reasonable.  They could not repent from where they were.

There are many translations and possible meanings for each verse of Ha Torah.

Translation one:

But God led the people around, through the way of the wilderness of the Red Sea; and the people of Israel went up armed out of the land of Egypt.

Translation two:

And God led everything from Aleph to Tav of the nation [Yisroel] around, through the way of the wilderness of the Red Sea; and a fifth of the nation of Israel went up out of the land of Egypt.

The Word וַחֲמֻשִׁים Vah Chah Moo Sheem means armed or it could mean five.  We call the Five Books of Moshe The Chumash, meaning the Five.

Rashi says an alternate meaning for verse eighteen is one out of every five went out of Egypt. Rabbi Avrohom Davis, The Mesudah Chumash A New Linear Translation Bereishis (Hoboken New Jersey, KTVA Publishing House, Inc., 1991) p 157 • Rabbi Nosson Scherman, The Stone Edition The Chumash (Mesorah Publications, Ltd., Brooklyn, N.Y. 1993), p. 367

600,000 men between the age of  twenty and sixty went out of Egypt. If  4/5th died in Egypt this means 2,400,000 died in Egypt during the three days of darkness. Rabbi Moshe Weissman, The Midrash Says (Brooklyn, New York:  Benei Yakov Publications 1980), p. 60

The slave mentality was very strong. Those that did come out were horribly abused by the evil task masters in Egypt. The Nation Israel was not ready for war. They were not ready to stand up to another nation. They were fragile.

Exodus 13.17

And it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God led them not through the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, Lest perhaps the people change [their minds] when they see war, and they return to Egypt;

Dear Ones there are many possibilities to these two very different interpretations.  We know that the nation Israel was frightened when they saw Pharaoh and his army coming after them. Even though they may have been armed, mentally they were not prepared to fight.  They were devastated by years of slavery. It would appear that 4 out of 5 were weak, were sick, were hooked on being slaves and worshiping idols. The fifth that did leave would need to develop confidence and change the way they viewed life.

In Chapter four of my book Mysterious SIGNS Of The Torah REVEALED IN EXODUS I discuss constancy. The Nation Yisroel would need to begin learning how to be faithful to The Lord out of choice. The Nation Yisroel would need to develop being dependable to The Lord as people who were free. They would do this.

May each of us learn to be enduring and unchanging in our observance of the Torah portion of the Bible.

Exodus 22.24-26

If you lend anything from Aleph to Tav of money to My people, anything from Aleph to Tav to the poor, miserable, lowly, helpless with you, do not act like a creditor, do not put upon him interest.

Years ago while serving in the U S Navy I observed quick loans. $5,00 for $7.00 or $10.00 for $12.00 or $20.00 for $25.00... Think of it? $5.00 for $7.00 is 40% - $10.00 for $12.00 is 20% - $20.00 for $25.00 is 25%.  These type of loans were normally for just a few days until payday. Ha Torah does not permit nehshek interest between Jews. In the military I would find friends who would loan to a friend for 'free'. We did not charge interest or pay interest.

We have a responsibility to not charge interest to a fellow Jew. We have a responsibility to not act like a creditor. What does the Torah Mean when Instructing us to not act like a creditor?  We must be warm and open to the borrower when we meet. We should be friendly. We should avoid any reference to money or debts.

Granting a non interest loan is one of the highest form of charity because this act preserves the self-respect of the borrower while allowing time to repair and rebuild his financial stability. Rabbi Menachem Davis, The Shottenstein Edition Interlinear Chumash Shemos / Exodus, {Brooklyn, New York: Mesorah Publications, Ltd. First Edition 1st impression 2007}, p 218

Dear Ones may we be conscientious thoughtful and careful, with our with our lending and our actions.

More On The Atonement Pledge

By Dr. Akiva Gamliel Belk

We offer this discussion in the loving memory of Mr and Mrs Belk, Mrs Martha Reynolds and Gary Lee ben

Ethel Channah, and Donald Wayne ben Ethel Channah  and Stephen ben Martha may they rest in peace and may their memory be for good and may they be elevated in the heavens.  May those who study with us and give charity in their memory be richly blessed.

More than twenty years ago I returned to Judaism. Returning for me was not like an on and off switch. It wasn't like today Today, I believe like Christians and tomorrow I believe like Jews.  There was some transition time between what I used to believe and what Ha Torah Teaches.  There we were some amazing minutes during this transition. There were some real strong struggles. I was taught that only Jesus could save one's soul. I believed this with all my heart for 39 years. I attended Bible College and then Seminary.  Christian teachings were rooted deeply within me.  Some of those teaching aligned with Ha Torah Teaches and other did not agree. In Parshat Ki Tisa we learn that MONEY provides an atonement. Can you imagine what a shock that was to me?

If one has been taught all their life that only Jesus blood can atone for sin then they read Exodus 30.12 there is a collision. For me it was actually a relief.  It was so pleasing to learn an old Teaching. It was new to me, yet, it was an old teaching. Jesus and Christianity and all their doctrines did not come around for  another  thousand years.

One has to wonder how did this doctrine about Jesus mislead so many. Christians have been taught that Jews are blind. They believe God has blinded our eyes as to who Jesus is. Actually that is not true at all. Christians don't spend much  time studying the Christian Writings. If they did they would be asking their Teacher and Pastors a lot of challenging questions.  I was there. I know what goes on. I lived in that shallow life style. However, back then when I was in transition it was difficult. I couldn't see the shallowness of Christianity and the lack of real thinkers. Try talking to Christians about logic. Logic is reasoning conducted or assessed according to strict principles of validity. Logic is a system of codified principles.

Let me provide just one example. I discuss this in several books, PASSOVER - Jesus Last 6 Days On Earth and A Sincere Journey Ends Without JESUS.  These books are available through http://www.bnti.us/books.html  - I discuss In Matthew 12:40.  http://www.bnti.us/books.html

The Writer Matthew quotes Jesus as saying,

'For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.'

Now, we really don't know if Jesus said this or not. Matthew says Jesus said this. Yet, the point is, that Christians don't understand the implications of this quote!!  Has anyone stopped to add up what three days and three nights  equal? What is 3 times 24?  Can Christians add?  When did Jesus die?  How do you get three full days and three full nights and 72 hours from late Friday to just before sunrise on Sunday? IT DOES NOT WORK... Christians don't care.  They believe.  Christians accept what they read is true. It does not matter that there are not three full days and three full nights between Friday evening and early Sunday morning.  They believe that even though there is only one day it's actually three. They believe that even though there are only two nights it's actually three nights.  Christians say they have the truth. WHAT IS TRUTHFUL ABOUT THIS?  Christians say Jews are blind. Who is looking the other way here?  This is NOT close!! Christians can believe all they want that 36 hours equals 72 hours but we know differently.  There are so many places where Christians are so very shallow... so empty... so clueless... I WAS THERE! I was empty!  I was shallow!  I was Clueless!

So Dear Reader when I read money was an atonement pledge, this was news to me.  This was like fresh vegetables right out of the garden.  I discuss the atonement pledge in my book Mysterious SIGNS Of The Torah in EXODUS on page 113.

Exodus 30:12

Exodus 30:12

Take a head count of everything from Aleph to Tav of B'nei Israel to determine the amount each man shall give as an atonement pledge  for his soul to The Lord when you count them and as a result there will be no plague among them when you count them.

We want to center on the Words אִישׁ כֹּפֶר Eesh Coh Fehr, meaning Man's Atonement Pledge.  Man's Atonement Pledge is represented by a half shekel coin for each man above the age of twenty.   Each man brought a half shekel as an atonement for his soul. Eesh Coh Fehr, is the Gematria of 611.  The Gematria for תּוֹרָה Torah / Law, meaning the 613 Commands of Ha Torah of the Law is also 611.  This tells us that obeying, i.e. Observing the 613 Commands of Ha Torah is and atonement for our soul.

May our learning be expanded,

Blessings, Love and peace.
